Category: Races

Description:

Eldin and Cera are the same race of Eldarin that went their separate ways many generations ago. Eldin and Cera stand taller than humans but slender and more wirily. True Eldarins are of fair skin and hair, and have talent for all things musical and derive much of their power through music.

Skilled in tracking, Eldin hunters will stalk their prey for days selectively choosing the choice animals from the herds for the kill. Eldins have an affinity with animals and can tame the wildest beast.

Ceras are great shipwrights and are known for their explorations of the various oceans and seas. Ceras are great traders and it is with them that most races have contact. Being chosen captain of a Cera vessel is a great honor and only goes to those who have proven themselves adept in mastering the seas

Homeland:

The Eldin live on the Tethda plains and are skilled hunters of the roaming herds. The Cera live in the natural harbors on the east coast of Tethda.

Society:

Eldin society is splintered into tribes, each tribe guided by a priest or chief Tribes are nomadic and follow the herds of animals on the plains. Cera society is structured much like the command structure of a ship is with their leader being known as the Grand Admiral.

History:

Takib created the Eldarins as companions, when Takib fell to the Vampyre Joseta, the Eldarins lost their protector and diety. The Eldarin race split into 3, one segment followed Eujan and grew to love the seas, They took on the name Cera. Another segment took up with Bedian and became attuned to the land received the name of Eldin. The third segment, went their own way and became lost to history.

Eujan, taught the Cera how to read the winds and waves, they became great sailors and explored much of the known lands. During the God Wars the Cera used their ships and abilities to keep the forces of Mearus confined to the land masses. After the destruction and the sunduring of the known lands the Cera made ready their ships, brought the Eldin on board and sailed west. They found a natural harbor on the land mass of Tethda. The Cera settled there, the Eldin migrated to the plains on the north western side of Tethda and established roaming tribes that followed the migrating herds of animals they found there. Eldin are skilled horsemen but prefer to run more than ride.

Ceras are great shipwrights and are known for their explorations of the various oceans and seas. Ceras are great traders and it is with them that most races have contact. Being chosen captain of a Cera vessel is a great honor and only goes to those who have proven themselves adept in mastering the seas. Given the title of WindRider Cera sea captains receive a medallion to show their rank and rumored to have the ability to control the winds to speed them on their journeys.

Yes and the fact they can tame any animal and are good at the sea voyages they really do sound a lot like Elves although they also remind me of Native Americans in the way they are split up into tribes and can run a lot
