In a couple of weeks Duck's Den Productions Inc will celebrate 4 years of existence. It has been a long road but one I would happily travel again.

First let me start off by thanking everyone who has shown interest and been involved in the Valhyre community. Thank you for being here for the journey.

Secondly let me direct everyone’s attention to the following link . Yes, your eyes do not deceive you. That is the Bastlur gracing that box cover, and that is the Valhyre Deathmatch first person shooter. Valhyre Deathmatch has been approved and is now available for purchase and play on Xbox Live Community Games. I have talked about how we used a first person shooter environment to test concepts for the mmo, mainly the aerial combat. Well Valhyre DMs is the result of that testing. Now I know what you are thinking, "Hey! you are suppose to be working on a MMO not a FPS" so let me explain how this has come about.

We all know the global economy has gotten tough, and that has effected DDPI. So I made a decision to try to generate revenue, but I didn’t want to go and ask for a lot of money from investors or publishers and risk losing creative control of Valhyre. That’s when I decided to polish up what we were using for prototyping and create a playable game out it. The result is Valhyre Deathmatch.

Now you might ask, why the Xbox 360, and the answer is simple, with the release of XNA, and the creation of Community Games the opportunity was there to release Vahyre DM without the high overhead of setting up a distribution system ourselves.

So there you have it, if you have an xbox360 go to the community games in the market place and give Valhyre DM a peak, and if you like it enough, purchase the full version.

Hope to see you there.
